The S36DR shocks from Ohlins are the mid-level workhorse of their line. Unlike the basic emulsion shocks, the DR line utilizes a divided piston that separates the damping circuit oil from the stabilizing nitrogen charge. Keeping the nitrogen and oil separate reduces the risk of cavitation (foaming) that can occur under aggressive riding conditions. S36DR shocks ensure that no matter how heavy the load or how bumpy the road, your Ohlins shocks will offer consistent reliable performance mile after mile.

The “R” in DR stand for rebound, which means these shocks provide a tool-free dial for rebound damping adjustments. Heading to the twisties? Give the adjuster a turn to the right to restrict oil flow for a more aggressive feel. Need maximum comfort for the long haul? Twist it to the left to increase oil flow for a comfortably plush ride.
